Knowledge Transfer Handbook + Profile Builder

What is it?

The Little Yellow Handbook contains practical tips, checklists and templates aimed at supporting researchers interested in pursuing academia-industry knowledge transfer. It is divided into four sections which relate to the key elements of a knowledge transfer project

•    Presenting your Knowledge
•    Sourcing the Funding
•    Developing the Interest
•    Negotiation and Contract

Complementing the handbook is the K2I Profile Builder which is intended to help researchers with the presentation of their knowledge and producing tailored knowledge profiles.

The aim is to help researchers better understand the what industry is interested in and to use language industry is familiar with, and hence, improving the chances of successful academia-industry collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Who is it for?

These tools were designed mainly with young researchers in mind who have little or no experience with academia-industry knowledge transfer.

However, it may also prove useful to researchers who have little confidence in talking to business people as well as who have had unsuccessful attempts at connecting with industry.
